Mila Gascó, Deputy Director at the Center for Innovation in Cities, was one of the symposium leaders at the Hawaii International Conference on Information Systems.
The conference, held the 5-8th of January, brought together researchers from all over the world to exchange scientific ideas on Information Systems.
One of the most important symposiums and the one that attracted most participants was the one leaded by Mila Gascó, ESADE professor and Deputy Director at the Center for Innovation in Cities.
As the 8thth e-Government Symposium of the Conference, the symposium debated on the challenges of open innovation in the public sector, the differences between co-creation (open innovation) and co-production (open services), their different types and its implications, factors and incentives for citizens.
Titled “Innovating together: Co-production and co-creation of public services”, the day-long meeting offered presentations of Greta Nasi and Maria Cucciniello, professors at Bocconi University in Milan (Italy) and of Russell Castagnaro, president at eHawaii.gov.
